I've Gotta Rant About This.

Last night I was reading a young lady's post about how her boyfriend had broken up with her and she then went on to say that she fat and ugly...

Well I went to her "My Photos" page and checked her out. She is neither fat nor ugly. Actually I thought she was quite beautiful...

But I need to apologize to her if I offend her or upset her with the comment I left. I may have been a bit harsh with her.

You see folks, I have a major issue with society and this whole body image thing with women. I see so many young women putting more value in what the scale says, and what a magazine says they should look like, than what is in their hearts and souls.

An Example:

How many people remember the whole Brittany Spears flap from that award show last year? Every one was screaming about how fucking fat she was... Bullshit I say! I bet 50% of women out in the world would absolutely LOVE to have Brittany's fat body over their own fat body. That is the kind of pressure that drives this whole freakish business.

Now Then...

I'm sure some of you are thinking, "Hey, just yesterday he wrote about his wife having stomach surgery to lose weight!"

Yes, but that was for health reasons. She was considered to be obese and it was damaging her heath. She was more than 100 pounds overweight.

Even at her highest weight I thought she was beautiful because I saw the woman she was on the inside. Her outside appearance meant something to me, but her true beauty was inside in her heart and mind and I never really saw her weight as a factor to consider.

Consider This...

Even if you have the most beautiful body, if you are an asshole, you will be ugly.

Please ladies, you do not need to be physically "hot" to be considered sexy. Sexy is more in your attitude and how you conduct yourself.

I can't tell y'all how much it bothers me to see a lovely woman run herself down because she thinks she needs to "lose 20 pounds" or some such bullshit to make her more desirable.

Sorry about the rant folks, but if someone truly loves you, your body is really not a factor. I just wish more women would understand this on more than an intellectual level.
