'nother Day

Appx 8:15am

We got some snow last night and these southerners apparently were not prepared. Since I was born and raised in the state of Despair, also known as Michigan, I know how to drive in these kinds of conditions. But even I was surprised to see all of the cars in ditches along the highway. Heck, I even passed a state trooper just putting along the highway! I bet he was just bitchin' me out thinking he'd find me out in the weeds on down the road.

Now I'm not gonna try and tell you I'm the greatest driver in the world, but I look like Mario Andretti compared to these yahoos down here.

When I got to work this morning it looked like a ghost town. About the only people who made it on time were the ones who live right here in town. Now I live 35 miles away and still made it here on time. It was close, mainly due to all the slowpokes on the highway, but I made it here with 5 minutes to spare.

10:04am

It seems like today is gonna be one of those days where I run my ass off and always end up falling behind no matter what I do. I got lucky earlier because I had to unload one of the machines I run and had some time to write while waiting on it.

Right now its a bit after 10am and I'm just now getting my 9 o'clock break. We'll just have to see if I get any lunch today. I probably shoud have worked through my break again because there are things that need to be done, but to heck with that. Everybody gets to just take off when its break time except me.

Other News From the Last 2 Months

My mother has been selected as a good candidate to donate a kidney to a man that works with her. The doctors are currently waiting for the man to be in good enough health to receive the transplant. We are expecting to hear in the next month or so when or if it will take place.

I'm happy to say that I quit smoking back in the beginning of October. I have however picked up the habit of dipping in its place. I'll quit that for a week or two and then buy a can then quit for a while again. I hope to have the whole nicotine habit kicked by spring.

Well, I think that's about it for today. Not like there was a lot to start with, eh?

I live in Vermont... It's amazing that just because ppl have 4 wheel drive they think they can go 80 mph in a snow blizzard... And then I laugh my ass off when I see them in the ditch and pass them.

One time a tractor trailer truck when off the road and was facing the opposite direction. Talk about scaryyyy stuff.

I used to drive truck so I know all about scary stuff happening. 4WD gets you going, but it don't help ya stop or avoid the other idiots unless you know what you are doing...

I live in Indiana and a lot of my friends think they're badass...yet I still see them in ditches. Just the other day a friend of mine flipped her car OVER while driving in ice/snow.

Holy Crud! I sure hope she's OK... Bad ass is doing do-nuts in an empty parking lot, but being cool is getting to where you are going in one piece!!
